Family Reunification and Reentry

The topic for the 31th. TV show produced by the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) and the Office of Cable Television is “Family Reunification and Reeentry.” The criminological community is increasingly focusing on family reunification as a method of reducing recidivism or return to prison.

The program provides an overview of programs to assist families and those incarcerated (or on community supervision) to reconnect and unify. Research strongly indicates that sustained and supportive contact with prosocial influencers and family members are crucial to individuals doing well upon return from incarceration.
