The show interviews April Cole and Paul Brennan; both are supervisors in the sex offender unit of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency(CSOSA), a federal criminal justice agency in Washington, D.C.
On Halloween, nine teams of Community Supervision Officers (known elsewhere as parole and probation agents) and officers from Washington D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department (a total of 32 officers) will visit the homes of sex offenders with “any” history of sexual contact with children. This is the third year that CSOSA and MPD have conducted joint patrols on Halloween.
Child sex offenders have been told by letter and in-person to stay home on Halloween and not engage in “any” Halloween a activities.
Please note that CSOSA and MPD do thousands of joint patrols of homes of high-risk offenders throughout the year. The agencies also exchange information/intelligence daily.
