    This program features an interview with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections’ Chief of Information and Public Relations Tracey Z. Poole discussing an innovative public safety initiative in which a panel of male and female offenders doing long sentences for DUI-Death Resulting crashes, along with a parent of a victim of such a crash, speak to student and parent groups in a prison visiting room about the devastating consequences of their choices.

    Data generated from the program state that nearly half of participating students said they were a passenger in a vehicle operated by someone who had been drinking.

    The program provides an interview with Paul Trantham, who on the day of the recording was released from supervision by the US Parole Commission. Paul was assisted by his faith-based mentor, Rev. Yvonne Cooper of the Allen Chapel AME church in Washington, D.C. Both appeared on the program.
