Can I simply say what a reduction to seek out someone who actually knows what theyre speaking about on the internet. You positively know easy methods to carry a problem to light and make it important. Extra individuals have to learn this and understand this facet of the story. I cant imagine youre not more popular because you positively have the gift.

Yeah you definitely need to do something with all the research you gather. It's great and all but if you don't put it into use then it's like a "nice read" on a rainy day... glad to see you're putting the research to use.

I like what you are doing in your state. I am a Social Worker/Addictions Professional. I currently work as a Clinical Supervisor and I am also pursuing further education in Mental Health at the Springfield College in Tampa, Florida. My desire to ultimately develop re-entry/transitional services for ex-offenders; a one stop shop. I live in Tallahasse, Florida and I need help with trying to implement something here that will be effective and worthwhile. I am not rich and I do not have money, but I have motivation and passion. I understand their struggles and the same way God blessed me, I want to see them be blessed.

Sincerely,

want help!

Offender monitoring via GPS does have its limitations but the convenience and benefits of the technology seem to make it worthwhile, at least the governments of developed nations such as the U.S. and counterparts in Europe seem to think so.

However, there are some cases, in which it is not appropriate to use GPS monitoring, not because of any flaw in the technology but because of the nature of the crime committed and this is one area of our practices with regard to criminals that should be reviewed more carefully and with greater scrutiny, to ensure we are not compromising the security of the public who have a right to such protections.

"Great podcast on the issues of offenders with mental illness. Having a brother in law who suffers from bipolar personality disorder. I know his inability to deal with his mood and anger have had a direct impact on his going to jail for assault a few months ago. Thank you for shedding some light on an often misunderstood subject."
I agree this will shed many lights, not just some light.

It is insane how many people are out on the street when they should be locked up. Good thing people are working hard to keep things under wraps. For those who are deserving of being out on bail while they go through the process there are services like our that can help them find unsecured no credit check financing to pay their bail fees to the bail bond agency.

Expect to see this technology utilized more. Cellphones, GPS, tracking, etc., were being explored for these types of applications long before we used the technology on consumer devices . Good to see this tech being put to such good, practical use.

Criminal should be required to pay for their supervision. Those who are required to budget for this type of expense would be wise to get a Payday Loan rather than go back to jail for not paying their debt.

We are in the process of creating a course for criminal justice offices and probation officers. The course is "Technology for Managing Sex Offenders. My question is: Could we have permission to use your video on Supervision of Sex Offenders posted November 17, 2006 (Interviews with Staff, Sex Offenders), as a video for students to view as part of their training?

While watching your broadcast, I found it very interesting that none of your guest really discuss the importance of employment and the economic disparities that often lead to a life of crime. We all know that you have to address mental health, substance abuse and the various facets of a persons life that contribute to criminality and hardship but without meaningful employment it becomes very hard for a individual to sustain themselves.
