90 Percent of Offenders Employed Upon Release-DC Public Safety

The show interviews Stefan LoBuglio, Chief of the Prerelease and Reentry Services Division for the Montgomery County Department of Corrections in Maryland and Anne Morrison Piehl, a Professor at Rutgers University who, in conjunction with the Manhattan Institute, published “Preparing Prisoners for Employment-the Power of Small Rewards.” The research indicates that 90 percent of offenders leaving the Montgomery County system were employed upon release.
