He was murdered on 9/29/08 close to home, a few steps from his front door-28th & N Sts SE. No one has been arrested.Leads have been provided MPDC. His mother had to remove her school age children from school because of threats from the thugs who killed Kevin. Kevin was buried at Glen Wood Cemetery on Lincoln Rd NE on 10/6/08. Shortly after, his gravesite was desecrated w/a decomposing goat's head w/spine intact & two dead snakes. MPDC said there's nothing they can do. Thanksgiving my surviving grandson was taking dinner to his maternal grandmother driving mother's car. He was shot at & chased by occupant(s) of another car. We fear for his life. He's been sent from the area away from family. Cases are being solved shortly after they happen but not my grandson's. Police have gone as far away as Texas to apprehend the killers (MS-13 gang members) of the young boy killed on a Silver Spring ride-on; the Spevaks killers were caught within a week's time; a senior citizen in Virginia who was killed murderers were caught shortly after she was killed. Not my grandson's killer who remains in the 36th/Ely/Minn/N/28th St. area of SE DC. Neither of them were/are involved in gang/crew/drug activity; they don't wear their pants under their backsides - they are neat, clean, respectable, A-students from a very close knit family. Is it because it is young Black American men and the neighborhood the reason of disparity in how certain cases are investigated? Is it because this type of violence is prevalent and "routine" the the African American community? Is it because of the economics of the area? It shouldn't matter, should it. Where do we go, what do we do to get the attention of the Mayor, Chief of Police and Attorney General, City Council and other city officials for assistance in solving my grandson's murder and apprehend the people stalking and assaulting my surviving grandson?
